ADX rises Wednesday after 5 sessions in red

Abu Dhabi – Mubasher: The benchmark index of the Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange (ADX) closed Wednesday’s trading session 0.07% or 3.32 points higher at 4,459.05 points, after five successive sessions in the red zone.

The market’s liquidity shrank to AED 199.37 million on Wednesday from AED 199.86 million in the previous session, after 117.06 million shares were traded compared to 98.21 million.

The telecom sector boosted the index’s performance after gaining 0.29% in line with the rise of Etisalat's stock with the same percentage.

Meanwhile, the real estate segment retreated 1.49%, dragged by Eshraq and Aldar which fell 1.9% and 1.27%, respectively.

First Abu Dhabi Bank recorded the highest turnover of AED 55.92 million.

Dana Gas was the most active stock on which 62.99 million shares were traded.
