Abu Dhabi – Mubasher: The Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange (ADX) saw a bullish performance on Tuesday, backed by the rise of the energy and banks sectors.
The general index rose 0.47% or 21.69 points to stand at 4,679.26 points.
Trading volume reached 386.32 million shares on Tuesday, compared to 618.57 million shares on Monday. Turnover amounted to AED 424.33 million, compared to AED 786.28 million.
The energy sector advanced 1.05% as Dana Gas rose 1.79%. The banks sector also grew 0.72% after First Gulf Bank (FGB) and National Bank of Abu Dhabi (NBAD) levelled up 1.13% and 0.95% respectively.
The telecom sector added 0.27% due to a rise in Etisalat by 0.27%.
On the flipside, the real estate sector led losers with a 0.93% decline after Aldar Properties sank 1.5%.
Manazel Real Estate, which added 4.55%, was the most active stock after trading 209.44 million shares, with a turnover of AED 145.88 million.
Abu Dhabi National Company for Building Materials (Bildco) topped gainers with a 14.06% rise, while Asmak was the worst performer after falling 7.04%
