Abu Dhabi-Mubasher: The Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange (ADX) saw a positive performance on Monday amid a decline in trading activity, boosted by the gains of the real estate and telecom sectors.
The general index advanced 0.4%, or 17.55 points, to reach 4,434.23 points.
Trading volume fell to 53.73 million shares on Monday, compared to 102.5 million shares on Sunday. Similarly, turnover decreased to AED 102.6 million, compared to AED 154.55 million.
The real estate sector topped gainers after adding 1.77%, spurred by Eshraq Properties and Aldar Properties which went up 4% and 1.5% respectively.
The telecom sector grew 0.53% as Etisalat recovered 0.53%.
The banks sector marginally rose 0.23% due to an increase in Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank (ADIB) and National Bank of Abu Dhabi (NBAD) by 0.81% and 0.32% respectively.
