Abu Dhabi – Mubasher: The Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange (ADX) witnessed gains for the second week in row, in line with the rise of telecom and banks stocks
The main index gained 0.6% and 27.20 points to reach 4,643.21 points in the week ended 16 February 2017.
Turnover amounted to AED 1.3 billion this week, compared to AED 1.357 billion last week. Trading volume reached 861.719 million shares, compared to 638.106 million shares.
The telecom sector added 0.85% after Etisalat went up 0.85%.
The banks sector levelled up 1.49% after First Gulf Bank (FGB), National Bank of Abu Dhabi (NBAD) and Abu Dhabi Commercial Bank (ADCB) grew 2.26%, 2.48% and 2.30% respectively.
On the other hand, the energy sector sank 7.54% after Dana Gas slid 9.43%.
The real estate sector fell 3.30% as Eshraq Properties and Aldar Properties went down 5.36% and 3.11% respectively.
