Abu Dhabi – Mubasher: The Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange (ADX) closed Sunday’s trading session in the green, supported by the growth of the energy and banks sectors.
The general index increased by 5.90 points, or 0.12%, closing the first session of the week at 4,904.10 points.
The ADX’s trading volume reached 36.55 million shares exchanged with a turnover of AED 71.59 million through 791 transactions.
The energy sector topped gainers adding 0.65% on the back of Dana Gas’s 1.68% increase, while the banks sector levelled up 0.55% as Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank (ADIB) and First Abu Dhabi Bank (FAB) went up 1.01% and 0.57%, respectively.
Similarly, the real estate sector inched up 0.16% due to Eshraq Properties’ 3.62% growth.
Meanwhile, the telecommunication sector and its sole stock, Etisalat, went down 0.59% each.
By the end of the session, Etisalat’s stock led the ADX in terms of liquidity with AED 15.39 million, while Dana Gas’s stock posted the highest trading volume with 14.02 million shares.
