Abu Dhabi – Mubasher: The Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange (ADX) saw a negative performance in Monday’s early trades, weighed down by the fall of Aldar Properties and Etisalat.
The general index fell 0.12% or 5.53 points to reach 465.20 points by 10:20am UAE time.
The real estate sector declined 0.75% after Aldar went down 0.8%. The telecom sector also sank 0.54% as Etisalat retreated 0.54%.
On the flipside, the energy sector rose 1.3% after Dana Gas increased 2.3%.
The banks sector also grew 0.13% as Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank (ADIB) and the National Bank of Abu Dhabi (NBAD) gained 1.28% and 0.47%, respectively.
The market saw trading of 7.74 million shares through 84 transactions, with a turnover of AED 11.15 million.
Eshraq Properties, which added 0.8%, was the value leader after generating AED 9.86 million from the exchange of 8.48 million shares.
