Abu Dhabi –Mubasher: The Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange (ADX) saw a positive performance on Thursday as most sectors, led by the banks and telecom, closed higher.
The general index rose 1.88% or 83.4 points to reach 4,517.15 points.
The market saw of trading of 194.31 million shares through 2,895 transactions, with a turnover of AED 399.05 million.
The consumer staples sector topped gainers with a 4% rise. The banks sector went up 2.33% as Abu Dhabi Commercial Bank (ADCB) gained 5.5%.
The telecom sector increased 1.66% as Etisalat levelled up 1.66%.
The energy sector fell 0.38% due to a decrease in TAQA by 1.85%.
AXA Green Cresent Insurance topped gainers with a 13.5% rise, while Abu Dhabi Ship Building (ADSB) was the worst performer after falling 7.7%.
Manazel Real Estate was the most active stock after trading 70.55 million shares, while National Bank of Abu Dhabi (NBAD) was the value leader after generating AED 84.32 million.
