Abu Dhabi-Mubasher: The Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange (ADX) saw a positive performance on Wednesday, amid the rise of trading activity.
The general index gained 0.11% or 5.1 points to reach 4,596.83 points
Trading volume reached 49 million shares on Wednesday, compared to 41.9 million shares on Tuesday. Turnover stood at AED 141.88 million, compared to AED 118.13 million.
The banks sector topped gainers after adding 0.44%, backed by Abu Dhabi Commercial Bank (ADCB) and RAK Bank which advanced 2.93% and 2.74% respectively.
On the flipside, the energy sector led losers with a 3.51% decline as Dana Gas and TAQA which slid 3.51% and 1.92% respectively.
The real estate sector slipped 0.03% as Eshraq Properties and RAK Properties went down 1.33% and 1.69% respectively.
Aldar Properties was the value leader after generating 60.9 million from the exchange of 20.69 million shares.
