Abu Dhabi – Mubasher: The Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange (ADX) saw a positive performance on Monday, backed by the rise of blue chips topped by Dana Gas.
The main index gained 0.29% or 12.87 points to reach 4,481.28 points.
The energy sector topped gainers with a 11.8% rise as Dana Gas went up 14.06%.
The real estate sector grew 1.5% as Eshraq Properties, RAK Properties, and Aldar Properties increased 6.9%, 4.5%, and 0.4%, respectively.
The investment sector went up 1.03% as Waha Capital gained 1.14%.
Turnover amounted to AED 204.05 million on Monday, compared to AED 115.94 million on Sunday. Trading volume reached 180.89 million shares, compared to 53.46 million shares.
Liquidity hit its highest level since July, and purchases were focused on Dana and Aldar, according to Fady El-Ghattis, CEO of Topsy Turvy.
Abu Dhabi’s main index targets 4,500 points to maintain its uptrend, Al-Ghattis noted.
