Abu Dhabi – Mubasher: The Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange (ADX) closed Thursday, its first trading session in June, in the green zone, following the rise of leading sectors led by energy.
The main index rose 1.16% or 51.51 points to reach 4,478.81 points.
Trading volume reached 130.18 million shares on Thursday, compared to 116.15 million shares on Wednesday. Turnover amounted to AED 145.17 million, compared to AED 293.86 million.
The energy sector topped gainers with a 6.29 rise% as Dana Gas and TAQA added 7.32% and 3.5%, respectively.
The telecom sector grew 1.74% after Etisalat went up 1.74%.
The real estate sector increased 1.32% as Aldar Properties and Eshraq Properties climbed 1.36% and 0.95%, respectively.
The banks sector added 0.98% after Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank (ADIB) and First Abu Dhabi Bank grew 2.23% and 1.42%, respectively.
On the other hand, the consumer staples sector was the best performer after adding 1.81% as Agthia Group gained 2.8%.
First Abu Dhabi Bank was the value leader after generating AED 31.81 million, while Sudatel was the most active stock with a trading volume of 50.92 million shares.
