ADX rises on energy, real estate at open

Abu Dhabi-Mubasher: Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange (ADX) saw an upward trend at open on Wednesday, spurred by the energy and real estate sectors.

The general index went up 0.03% or 1.4 points to stand at 4,373.88 points by 11:00am UAE time.

The stock performance of Dubai-based Arabtec Holding and Abu Dhabi-listed Eshraq Properties will shape the trend of the UAE bourses, analysts told Mubasher on Wednesday.

The energy sector increased 3.13% as Dana Gas advanced 3.9%.

The real estate sector grew 1.5% after Aldar Properties levelled up 1.6%.

Turnover reached AED 157.68 million ($42.93 million) after trading 160.8 million shares through 1,260 transactions.

Eshraq Properties was the most active company with trading volume of 50 million shares, generating AED 39.58 million. The stock stabilised at AED 0.78.
