Abu Dhabi – Mubasher: The Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange (ADX) continued its gains on Monday, spurred by the build-up of new positions in blue chips.
The main index grew 0.32% or 13.84 points to reach 4,300.18 points.
The real estate sector was the best performer after rising 1.58% as Eshraq Properties and Aldar Properties climbed 1.58% and 3.95% respectively. The investment sector went up 1.53% after Waha Capital grew 1.62%.
The banks sector advanced 1.2% as National Bank of Abu Dhabi (NBAD) and First Gulf Bank (FGB) levelled up 2.31% and 1.77% respectively.
Higher third-quarter results of some companies, in line with attractive prices of some blue chips, pushed investors to build new positions, capital market analyst Mohamed Al Hosni told Mubasher.
On the other hand, the telecom sector gained 1.3% as Etisalat grew 1.3%.
The main index is likely to continue its rise and approach 4,315 points, Al Hosni noted.
