Abu Dhabi – Mubasher: The Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange (ADX) witnessed gains on Thursday, backed by the rise of real estate stocks.
The general index rose 0.17% or 7.68 points to reach 4,443.53 points, its highest level in two months.
Trading volume reached 216.418 million shares on Thursday, compared to 62.79 million shares on Wednesday. Turnover amounted to AED 609.535 million, compared to AED 182.330 million.
The telecom sector rose 1.40% as Etisalat added 1.40%. The real estate sector also grew 0.74% after Eshraq Properties grew 4.90%.
National Bank of Abu Dhabi (NBAD) was the value leader after generating AED 236.44 million from the exchange of 23.03 million shares.
On the other hand, the energy sector declined 1.81% as Dana Gas sank 2.33%.
