Abu Dhabi – Mubasher: the main index of Abu Dhabi Securities Market (ADX) fell on Sunday by 0.34% or 15.6 points to the level of 4,621.16 points.
Trading volume shrank to 112.55 million shares from 127.86 million shares exchanged on Thursday. Turnover also decreased to AED 152.6 million from AED 195.64 million.
“Today’s fall was a result to selling pressures on most of the major stocks like First Gulf Bank, Etisalat and Aldar Properties,” Raed Diab, Vice President of Investment Research Department in KAMCO, told Mubasher.
The real estate was the worst performing sector with a fall of 0.87%, nudged down by Aldar and RAK Properties which shed 1.08% and1.7% respectively.
The telecom sector declined 0.8% as Etisalat fell by the same percentage.
The energy sector was 0.16% off as Taqa moved 1.5% down.
The banks sector dipped 0.16% with a 0.8% decrease in First Gulf Bank.
