Abu Dhabi-Mubasher: Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange (ADX) managed to rise for the eighth session in a row, backed by Dana Gas and Etisalat.
The general index rose 5.66 points to close at 4,252.18 points, the highest level in 21 sessions.
Turnover reached AED 92.13 million ($25.05 million) on Monday, compared to AED 74.4 million ($20.26 million) on Sunday. Trading volume increased 14.3% to 61 million shares, compared to 54.03 million shares.
The energy sector went up 0.34%, backed by Dana Gas which added 2.08%.
The telecom sector grew 0.31% as Etisalat levelled up 0.31%.
The consumer staples sector advanced 3.59% after Foodco Holding gained 5.26%.
On the flipside, the real estate sector declined 0.53% as Eshraq Properties and Aldar Properties slid 1.79% and 0.44%, respectively.
The banks sector retreated 0.03%, bogged by Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank and First Gulf Bank which dipped 2.31% and 0.79% in a row.
