Abu Dhabi-Mubasher: The Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange (ADX) saw a positive performance on Thursday, in line with a growth in trading activity.
The general index rose 0.2% or 9.18 points to reach 4,516.38 points.
The market saw trading of 70.96 million shares on Thursday, compared to 76.80 million shares on Wednesday. Turnover stood at AED 135.12 million, compared to AED 146.47 million.
The telecom sector advanced 0.76% as Etisalat went up 0.76%. Likewise, the energy sector gained 0.75% as TAQA increased 0.75%.
The banks sector also climbed 0.23% as Abu Dhabi Commercial Bank (ADCB) and National Bank of Abu Dhabi (NBAD) grew 1.10% and 0.76% respectively.
On the flipside, the real estate sector retreated 1.48% as Aldar Properties declined 1.81%.
