Abu Dhabi – Mubasher: The Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange (ADX) saw a bullish performance on Thursday, spurred by the growth of banks, energy and real estate stocks.
The main index went up 0.4% or 17.12 points to reach 4,281.62 points.
Trading volume reached 47.44 million shares on Thursday, compared to 104.158 million shares on Wednesday. Turnover stood at AED 126.6 million, compared to AED 178.52 million.
The banks sector went up 0.82% as First Gulf Bank (FGB) and National Bank of Abu Dhabi (NBAD) added 2.19% and 1.25% respectively.
The energy sector grew 0.39% as TAQA went up 1.72%. The real estate sector increased 0.14% as Eshraq Properties advanced 1.72%.
The real estate sector increased 0.14% after Eshraq Properties gained 1.27%.
Invest Bank saw the most active trading, generating AED 40.3 million from the exchange of 17.99 million shares.
On the flipside, the consumer staples sector fell 1.96% due to a decline in Agthia Group by 2.5%.
