Abu Dhabi – Mubasher: The Abu Dhabi Securities (ADX) saw a positive performance in the week ended 17 November, backed by the rise of banks stocks.
The main index increased 0.19% or 7.98 points to reach 4,290.44 points.
The market saw trading of 1.03 billion shares this week, compared to 1.4 billion shares last week. Turnover stood at AED 1.422 billion, compared with a turnover of AED 1.6 billion.
The banks sector rose 1.09% as Abu Dhabi Commercial Bank (ADCB) and First Gulf Bank (FGB) went up 3.8% and 0.42% respectively.
On the flipside, the energy sector declined 2.25% as TAQA slid 12.3%. The real estate sector fell 3.6% due to a decrease in Aldar Properties by 2.6%.
