ADX sees gains on blue chips Tuesday

Abu Dhabi – Mubasher: The Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange (ADX) saw a bullish performance on Tuesday, backed by the growth of blue chips amid lower trades.

The general index rose 0.24% or 10.70 points to 4,408.66 points.

Trading volume reached 30.04 million shares on Tuesday, compared to 49.66 million shares on Monday. Turnover amounted to AED 63.28 million, compared to AED 100.82 million.

The telecom sector rose 0.57% as Etisalat went up 0.57% and became the value leader with a turnover of AED 12.42 million.

The banks sector added 0.10% after Abu Dhabi Commercial Bank (ADCB) and Finance House grew 1.6% and 15%, respectively.

The real estate sector led gainers with a 0.02% increase after Eshraq Properties grew 1.08%.

The market’s unclear trend is expected to continue in the coming period, Raed Diab, vice president of the Investment Research Department at KAMCO, told Mubasher.

The main index sees support at 4,350 points; yet, its decline below this level will push it lower below 4,300 and 4,200 points, Diab noted.
