ADX sees highest daily gains in 10 sessions

Abu Dhabi-Mubasher: The Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange (ADX) closed in the green for the second successive session on Thursday, backed by the banks and real estate sectors.

The general index reached 4,497.64 points after adding 80.61 points or 1.82%, its highest gains in ten sessions.

The banks sector advanced 3.23% due to a rise in First Gulf Bank (FGB) and National Bank of Abu Dhabi (NBAD) went up 5% and 3.76% respectively.

FGB was the value leader after generating AED 39.02 million, while Aldar Properties was the most active stock with a trading volume of 4.64 million shares.

Turnover reached AED 145.75 million on Thursday, compared to AED 88.39 million on Wednesday. Trading volume stood at 29.30 million shares, compared to 35.8 million shares.

The real estate sector advanced 0.41% due to an increase in Aldar Properties by 0.37%.

The energy sector recovered 0.39% as TAQA went up 2.04%.
