ADX sees highest turnover in 3M Sunday

Abu Dhabi – Mubasher: The Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange (ADX) rose for the fourth successive session on Sunday, amid the rise of trading volume on the back of trades on First Abu Dhabi Bank.

The general index gained 5.93 points to reach 4,524 points.

Turnover rose to its highest level in more than three months on Sunday after reaching AED 404.420 million, compared to AED 252.318 million last Thursday. Trading volume reached 99.161 million shares, compared to 82 million shares.

First Abu Dhabi Bank’s stock generated AED 328.504 million from the exchange of 31.28 million shares, accounting for 81% of the market’s turnover.

The real estate sector rose 0.26% as Eshraq Properties added 2.13%. The banks sector also went up 0.12% after Abu Dhabi Commercial Bank (ADCB) advanced 0.28%.

On the other hand, the energy sector fell 0.90% due to a decline in Dana Gas by 1.47%.
