Abu Dhabi-Mubasher: The Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange (ADX) closed in the red amid lower trading activity on Wednesday, backed by the negative performance of the real estate, telecom and banks sectors
The main index rose 0.22%, or 9.87 points, to reach 4,417.03 points.
Trading volume reached 35.8 million shares on Wednesday, compared to 36.82 million shares on Thursday. Turnover stood at AED 88.39 million, compared to AED 87.67 million.
The real estate sector topped gainers after adding 0.7% as Aldar Properties increased 0.75%. Meanwhile, Eshraq Properties fell 1.28%.
The telecom sector advanced 0.26% after Etisalat grew 0.26%.
The banks sector went up 0.19% after National Bank of Abu Dhabi (NBAD) and Commercial Bank of Abu Dhabi (ADCB) grew 1.20% and 1.17% respectively.
First Gulf Bank (FGB) was the value leader after generating AED 20.52 million.
