ADX sees losses at Thursday’s open

Abu Dhabi – Mubasher: The Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange (ADX) saw a negative performance in Thursday’s early trades, dragged down by the fall of energy and telecom sectors.

The general index fell 0.12% or 5.66 points to reach 4,566.91 points by 10:55am UAE time.

The energy sector levelled down 1.6% after Dana Gas decreased 2%. The telecom sector also sank 0.3% as Etisalat retreated 0.3%.

The real estate sector declined 0.23% after RAK Ceramics and RAK Properties slid 1.3% and 1.28% respectively.

The banks sector decreased 0.01% after Union National (UNB) and National Bank of Abu Dhabi (NBAD) retreated 1.7% and 0.9% respectively.

The market saw trading of 61.71 million shares through 617 transactions, with a turnover of AED 77.67 million.

Eshraq Properties was the value leader after generating AED 27.55 million from the exchange of 25.57 million shares.
