Abu Dhabi-Mubasher: Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange (ADX) continued its negative performance on Sunday, dragged down by profit-taking especially on telecom and real estate stocks.
The general index lost 0.84% or 37.90 points to reach 4,462 points.
The market saw trading of 144.92 million shares on Sunday, compared to 126.518 million shares last Thursday.
Turnover reached AED 275.11 million ($74.8 million), compared to AED 258.91 million ($70.5 million).
The telecom sector declined 2.2% as Etisalat slid 2.2%.
The real estate sector levelled down 1.9% after Aldar Properties retreated 1.5%.
The energy sector decreased 1.5% as Dana Gas went down 1.8%.
Also, the banks sector fell 0.3%, led down by National Bank of Abu Dhabi (NBAD) and Union National Bank (UNB) which shed 4.8% and 3% in a row.
