Abu Dhabi – Mubasher: The main index of the Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange (ADX) declined in the week ended 8 June 2017 by 0.05% or 2.24 points to the level of 4,476.57 points.
Turnover decreased this week by 59.1% to AED 351.34 million, compared to AED 859.73 million last week, as turnover also shrank by 51.4% to 276.3 million shares from 568.98 million shares exchanged last week.
Six sectors closed the week in red, topped by the industrial sector (-2.16%) and the investment sector (-2.06%). The insurance sector retreated 0.36%.
On the other hand, the energy sector rose 14.2%, the real estate sector advanced 1.18%, and the telecom sector increased 0.29%.
The index rose last week by 0.5% or 22.43 points.
