ADX sees upward performance on Tuesday

Abu Dhabi - Mubasher: The main index of Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange (ADX) rose by 0.37% or 18.85 points to 5,095.52 points by the end of Tuesday’s trading session, unlike its downward performance on Monday, 3 February.

A total of 41.94 million shares were traded through 2,464 transactions at a value of AED 152.41 million.

The market cap value rose by around AED 1.11 billion to AED 531.39 billion from AED 530.28 billion in the previous session.

Meanwhile, the energy, banks, and real estate sectors inched up by 0.97%, 0.61%, and 0.81%, respectively, while the telecommunications segment went down by 0.25%.

Abu Dhabi National Energy Company (TAQA) topped the gainers with 14.91%, while National Marine Dredging Company led the decliners with 10%.

First Abu Dhabi Bank (FAB), up 0.66%, recorded the highest turnover of AED 58.75 million, while Arkan Building Materials Company was the most active stock with 13.47 million shares.

As for the rising blue chips, Abu Dhabi Commercial Bank (ADCB), Aldar Properties, Dana Gas, and Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank (ADIB) rose by 1.45%, 0.91%, 0.56%, and 0.18%, respectively.

At the same time, Abu Dhabi National Oil Company for Distribution (ADNOC Distribution) and Emirates Telecommunication Group (Etisalat) were the rising blue chips with 1.92% and 0.25%, respectively.
