ADX sees upward trend at open

Abu Dhabi-Mubasher: Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange (ADX) opened in the green on Tuesday, spurred by the telecom sector’s gains.

The general index added 0.15% or 6 points to reach 4,032 points by 10:48am UAE time.

UAE markets are likely to continue its volatile trend amid anticipations of any changes in the global economy and oil markets, analysts told Mubasher.

Turnover reached AED 34.9 million after 16.7 million shares were traded through 288 transactions.

The telecom sector led risers after adding 0.32% as Etisalat increased 0.32%.

The investment sector advanced 1.86% after Waha Capital went up 1.90%.

On the flipside, the energy sector slid 2.23% after Dana Gas and TAQA lost 2.22% and 2.27%, respectively.

The real estate sector levelled down 0.77% as Aldar Properties decreased 0.89%.

The banks sector declined 0.04% after Abu Dhabi Commercial Bank retreated 1.75%.
