Abu Dhabi – Mubasher: The Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange’s (ADX) general index shed 32.77 points, or 0.68%, to 4,811.42 points in the week ended Thursday, 2 August.
The energy sector levelled down 1.25% after Dana Gas decreased by 2.7%, while the telecommunication sector and its only stock, Etisalat, decreased 1.17% each.
The banks sector declined 0.55%, as First Abu Dhabi Bank (FAB) lost 0.74%, whereas the real estate sector inched down 0.02% after Eshraq Properties sank 1.64%. Moreover, the consumer staples sector fell 2.99%.
Over the week, market capitalisation recorded AED 483.227 billion.
The ADX’s trading volume amounted to 200 million shares, while the market’s liquidity reached AED 694.056 million.
