Abu Dhabi – Mubasher: The Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange’s (ADX) general index lost 48.82 points, or 1.09%, to close at 4,437.83 points on Thursday.
The ADX’s trading volume reached 48.06 million shares, while the market’s liquidity hit AED 127.13 million.
The investment sector tumbled 2.62% after Waha Capital declined 2.86%.
The telecommunications sector and its only stock, Etisalat, went down 1.82% each.
On the other hand, the real estate sector grew 0.3%, as Eshraq Properties surged 2.82%.
The ADX wants fresh market-boosting catalysts that could boost liquidity before Islam's holy month of Ramadan when it usually reaches its lowest levels, vice president of Investment Research at KAMCO Raed Diab commented.
