Abu Dhabi – Mubasher: The Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange (ADX) has seen a bearish trend on Thursday, the first trading session in August.
By the end of Thursday’s trading session, the ADX’s general index lost 87.68 points, or 1.65%, to 5,230.22 points.
Trading volume amounted to 69.134 million shares exchanged at a turnover of AED 184.541 million through 1,820 transactions.
The telecommunication sector dropped by 3.02% as Etisalat fell by the same percentage.
The banks sector also slipped by 1.44%, dragged down by First Abu Dhabi Bank (FAB) and Abu Dhabi Commercial Bank (ADCB) which fell 1.76% and 1%, respectively.
The energy sector went down as well by 1.06% when Dana Gas’ stock slid 0.96%.
Market capitalisation lost AED 8.83 billion and closed the session at AED 533.14 billion.
