ADX slips 0.1% in week

Abu Dhabi – Mubasher: The Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange’s (ADX) general index saw a marginal decline during the week ended 2 November, edging down 0.06% or 2.6 points to close at 4,465.15 points.

Blue chips led the ADX’s losers, headed by Dana Gas, which levelled down 2.6% following news reports that the company has refused to repay its $700 million sukuk.

Aldar Properties also tumbled 1.68% in line with the company’s delayed quarterly disclosure. 

Etisalat sank 0.8% on profit-taking, after unexpectedly high profits in the third quarter.

Over the week, the ADX’s trading volume decreased to 184.9 million shares, from 329.26 million shares in the week ended 26 October, while the market’s turnover declined to AED 549.78 million versus AED 604.84 million in the previous week.
