ADX slips 114.55 pts at Monday's close

Abu Dhabi – Mubasher: The main index of the Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange (ADX) slid by 2.81% or 114.55 points at the end of Monday’s trading session to close at 3,969.05 points.

The market cap value shrank by AED 11.18 billion to stand at AED 438.17 billion from AED 449.35 billion in the previous session.

Moreover, the market’s liquidity totalled AED 128.51 million where 36.80 million shares were traded through 2,688 transactions.  

The banks and the real estate instruments dropped by 3.87% and 1.94%, respectively, whereas the energy sector was the only riser with 0.04%.

Union Insurance Co came on top of the decliners with 4.96%, whereas Abu Dhabi Ship Building (ADSB) headed the gainers with 3.85%.

Emirates Telecommunication Group (Etisalat) achieved the highest turnover of AED 37.44 million, whilst Aldar Properties led the trading activity through the exchange of 10.62 million shares.

As for the blue chips, the stocks of Abu Dhabi Commercial Bank (ADCB) and Aldar Properties slipped by 3.67% and 1.99%, respectively, whereas Dana Gas inched up by 0.31%.
