Abu Dhabi – Mubasher: The Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange’s (ADX) main index closed in the red zone on Sunday after increasing for four successive sessions.
The main index shed 0.17% or 7.50 points to close at 4,518.38 points.
The energy sector topped the ADX’s losers with 3.09% after Dana Gas dropped 3.8% following after it submitted a request to the UK Supreme Court to appeal against two previous rulings in its sukuk case.
The banks sector fell 0.49% on the back of Union National Bank’s (UNB) 1.18% decline after the bank posted stable results for the third quarter of 2017.
Meanwhile, the real estate sector dropped 0.33% after Manazel shed 3.5%.
On the positive side, the consumer staples sector led the ADX’s gainers, adding 3.12%, after Asmak rose 0.6%.
Trading volume shrank to 70.13 million shares from 85.34 million shares on Thursday, while turnover amounted to AED 107.23 million through 964 transactions, versus AED 134.69 million through 1,454 transactions.
