ADX slips in a week, shrugs off foreign, institutional buying

Abu Dhabi – Mubasher: Foreign and institutional traders ended as net buyers on Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange (ADX) in the first week of 2016, but failed the support the market against local and GCC selling.

ADX was down this week, reversing a three-week winning run, pressured by main sectors led by real estate, banks, energy and telecoms.

Non-Arab foreign traders were net buyers by AED 30.47 million, while non-GCC Arab traders were net sellers by AED 1.65 million.

GCC investors were net sellers by AED 12.88 million, while UAE traders were net sellers by AED 15.8 million.

Institutions were net buyers by AED 7.88 million, while retail traders were net sellers by the same value.
