Abu Dhabi – Mubasher: The Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange (ADX) opened Sunday in the red, weighed down by its leading sectors.
The general index slipped 0.12% or 5.48 points to reach 4,571.25 points by 10:45am UAE time. Turnover reached AED 22.96 million after 13.14 million shares were exchanged through 175 transactions.
The telecom sector lost 0.25%, following pressure from its main stock Etisalat. The real estate sector followed closely, shedding 0.23% adfter RAK Properties declined 1.67%.
The investment sector dropped 1.4% after Waha Capital was down 1.5% during that time.
Sunday’s losses came contrary to analysts’ expectations.
