Abu Dhabi – Mubasher: The Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange (ADX) reversed the negative performance it maintained for three successive sessions on Monday, amid recovery of trading activity.
The main index went up 0.58% or 25.17 points to reach 4,387.34 points.
Trading volume reached 44.64 million shares on Monday, compared to 18.17 million shares on Sunday. Turnover stood at AED 82.88 million, compared to AED 32.95 million.
The banks sector topped gainers after rising 0.94%, backed by First Gulf Bank (FGB) and National Bank of Abu Dhabi (NBAD) which advanced 2.22% and 0.69% respectively.
The telecom sector went up 0.5% as Etisalat gained 0.5%.
The insurance sector climbed 0.43% as Al Khazna Insurance rose 14.29%.
On the other hand, the energy sector fell 0.76% as TAQA retreated 3.57%.
The real estate sector declined 0.32% after Aldar Properties slid 0.38%.
