ADX snaps 3-day winning streak Sunday

Abu Dhabi – Mubasher: The Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange (ADX) reversed the uptrend it witnessed for three successive sessions on Sunday, pressured by the fall of telecom and banks stocks.

The general index fell by 0.48% or 22.40 points to reach 4,620.81 points.

The market saw trading of 219.75 million shares on Sunday, compared to 115.88 million shares last Thursday. Turnover amounted to AED 294.75 million, compared to AED 257.910 million.

Eshraq generated AED 196.410 million from the exchange of 174.74 million shares, pushing the real estate sector to rise by 1.37% amid the stability of RAK Properties and Aldar Properties.

The telecom sector decreased by 1.08% as Etisalat sank by 1.08%.

The banks sector slid 0.45% after Abu Dhabi Commercial Bank (ADCB) and First Gulf Bank (FGB) declined by 0.92% and 0.73%, respectively.

The services sector led losers after falling by 2.82%, as Abu Dhabi National Hotels (ADNH) and Abu Dhabi Aviation sank 6.45% and 2.26%, respectively.
