Abu Dhabi-Mubasher: Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange (ADX) ended the upward trend it saw for four successive sessions, pressured by the banks sector’s losses.
The general index slid 0.43% or 17.73 points to reach 4,088.61 points.
Trading volume reached 407.15 million shares on Tuesday, compared to 155.3 million shares on Monday. Turnover amounted to AED 331.63 million, compared to AED 377.28 million.
The banks sector declined 0.89%, weighed by National Bank of Abu Dhabi and First Gulf Bank which decreased 2.76% and 1.74% in a row.
On the flipside, the energy sector added 0.85% after Dana Gas gained 2.33%.
