ADX snaps three-day losing streak on Monday

Abu Dhabi – Mubasher: The Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange (ADX) closed Monday’s trading session in the red territory, marking three-session low.

The ADX’s general index went down 29.37 points, or 0.58%, to 5,075.88 points.

Trading volume amounted to 142.965 million shares that were exchanged at a turnover of AED 382.205 million through 2,356 transactions.

Market capitalisation shed AED 3.45 billion and ended the session at AED 520.574 billion.

The energy sector decreased by 1.62%, followed by the telecommunication that fell by 1.20%.

Similarly, the real estate and the banks sectors tumbled 0.85% and 0.375 each.

Wahat Al Zaweya was the most heavily traded stock after seeing a trading volume of 95.613 million shares exchanged at a turnover of AED 221.252 million.

Dana Gas’ stock fell by 2.03% to AED 2.03 and Abu Dhabi Commercial Bank (ADCB) went down by 1.89% to AED 8.37.

Meanwhile, Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank (ADIB) and Aldar Properties slid 1.16% to AED 5.12 and 0.91% to AED 2.17, respectively.
