Abu Dhabi – Mubasher: The benchmark index of Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange (ADX) went up by 0.48% or 24.50 points to close Thursday at 5,100.27 points, compared to 5,075.77 points on Tuesday.
The ADX saw a trading of 39.11 million shares through 573 transactions at AED 52.54 million worth of liquidity.
The market cap value increased by AED 2.48 billion to AED 523.85 billion from AED 521.37 billion on Tuesday. The telecommunication sector topped the gainers with 0.86%, followed by the banks with 0.60% and the real estate with 0.46%, while the energy segment was the only decliner with 1.09%.
Meanwhile, Ras Al Khaimah Cement Company (RAK Cement) led the gainers with 2.13%, while Eshraq Investments came on top of the losers with 0.93%.
Abu Dhabi National Energy Company (TAQA) was the most active stock with 24.74 million shares traded at AED 11.78 million worth of liquidity.
As for the blue chips, First Abu Dhabi Bank (FAB) inched up by 0.92%, while Dana Gas declined by 1.2%.
