ADX strengthens ties with China’s SSE

Abu Dhabi – Mubasher: The Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange (ADX) revealed that its Acting Chief Executive Khalifa Salem Al Mansouri has welcomed a high-profile delegation from the Shanghai Stock Exchange (SSE) to explore collaboration opportunities and strengthen collaboration.

The visit aimed at deepening partnership between the two stock markets, according to a press release.

The Chinese delegation was headed by Fu Hao, the Deputy Director-General of Global Business Development Committee & Managing Director of Global Business Development Department of SSE, the ADX said.

This comes following Khalifa Al Mansouri’s visit to China’s SSE in July, where both parties explored cooperation opportunities.

Khalifa Al Mansouri commented: “This partnership will be the driving force behind a bullish and buoyant trading environment, fully aligned with Abu Dhabi’s extensive economic diversification strategy. This comes at a time of resurgence for Abu Dhabi’s Exchange, which index up 3.7% since the beginning of this year.”

Al Mansouri noted that the ADX has distributed over AED 25 billion in cash dividends to 572,774 eligible investors since the beginning of 2019, rising by 6.95% year-on-year.

Net institutional investment jumped by 93% to AED 2.6 billion during the first eight months of this year, versus AED 1.4 billion for the same period in 2018, he added.
