Abu Dhabi – Mubasher: The Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange (ADX) saw a positive performance for the third successive session on Thursday, amid a decline in trading activity.
The general index went up 1.01% or 46.52 points to reach 4,643.21 points.
Trading volume reached 115.88 million shares on Thursday, compared to 139.42 million shares on Wednesday. Turnover amounted to AED 257.91 million, compared to AED 259.64 million.
Eshraq Properties was the value leader after generating AED 49.3 million from the exchange of 46.73 million shares.
The telecom sector added 3.07% as Etisalata grew 3.07%.
The energy sector gained 1.2% as Dana Gas increased 2.08%. On the other hand, TAQA declined 2%.
The industrial sector rose 0.71% after RAK Ceramics grew 4.65%.
The banks sector was the top gainer with a 0.61% increase as National Bank of Abu Dhabi (NBAD) and First Gulf Bank (FGB) added 0.74% and 0.4% respectively.
On the flipside, the real estate sector slid 1.38% after Aldar Properties and Eshraq Properties sank 1.61% and 0.94% respectively.
