Abu Dhabi – Mubasher: The Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange (ADX) opened Tuesday’s trading session in the red, dragged down by blue chips especially in the energy sector.
The general index levelled down 0.20% or 8.80 points to reach 4,292.23 points by 10:20am UAE time.
The energy sector topped losers with a 0.8% decline, weighed down by TAQA which sank 3.6%.
The real estate sector slid 0.58% after Eshraq Properties and Aldar Properties went down 2.8% and 0.39% respectively. The banks sector tumbled 4% after First Gulf Bank (FGB) fell 0.85%.
On the flipside, the telecom sector rose 0.28% as Etisalat increased 0.28%.
Turnover reached AED 19.45 million after trading 19.6 million shares through 227 transactions.
