Abu Dhabi – Mubasher: The Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange (ADX) saw a bearish performance on Tuesday, weighed down by the fall of banks stocks.
The general index fell 0.48% or 21.45 points to reach 4,463.56 points.
The banks sector slid 0.89% after First Abu Dhabi Bank and Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank (ADIB) retreated 1.2% and 0.54%, respectively.
Trading volume reached 24.93 million shares on Tuesday, compared to 23.92 million shares on Monday. Turnover amounted to AED 85.33 million, compared to AED 57.35 million.
Aldar Properties was the most active stock after trading 5.44 million shares, while First Abu Dhabi Bank was the value leader with a turnover of AED 41.70 million.
