ADX trims losses in mid-session, inch down 0.39%

Abu Dhabi-Mubasher: Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange (ADX) trimmed its losses in Sunday’s mid-session, backed by the gains of Dana Gas and Furs Gulf Bank.

The general index inched down 0.39% or 16.15 points to reach 4,132.14 points by 12:00pm UAE time.

The UAE markets are expected to continue its speculative trend amid heavy trading activity on banks sector’s stocks after the Federal Reserve raised the interest rate, analysts earlier told Mubasher.

The real estate sector declined 2.31%, backed by Eshraq Properties and Aldar Properties which retreated 3.92% and 1.74%, respectively.

The telecom sector retreated 0.32% after Etisalat levelled down 0.32%.

The banks sector was the only loser after falling 0.24% as Abu Dhabi Commercial Bank and National Bank of Abu Dhabi slid 2.85% and 0.77% in a row.
