ADX up 1.6% on Tuesday; market cap at AED 457.2bn

Abu Dhabi – Mubasher: The main index of the Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange (ADX) increased by 1.63% or 65.99 points to 4,103.82 points by the end of Tuesday's trading session, reversing its downward performance during the past two days.

The market cap value amounted to AED 457.21 billion, increasing by AED 7.17 billion from AED 450.04 billion in the previous session.

Turnover totalled AED 110.33 million after 49.89 million shares were exchanged through 1,698 transactions.

The banks sector came on top of the rising market sectors with 2.12%.

International Holdings Company led the green zone with 7.14%, while Abu Dhabi National Energy (TAQA) headed the red zone with 4.86%.

Abu Dhabi Commercial Bank (ADCB) recorded the highest turnover of AED 28.62 million, while Aldar Properties, up 2.38%, posted the highest trading volume of 10.95 million shares.

Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank (ADIB) hit the top of the losing blue chips with 1.16%.
