Abu Dhabi-Mubasher: Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange (ADX) ended stronger on Monday at for the fourth successive session, spurred by an upward trend of the telecom and real estate sectors.
The general index added 0.86% or 35.54 points to close at 4,191.25 points.
Trading volume declined to 137.04 million shares on Monday from 203.76 million shares on Sunday. Meanwhile, turnover increased 40.2% to AED 254.78 million ($69.36 million) from AED 181.77 million ($49.50 million).
The telecom sector topped gainers after Etisalat added 2.87%.
The real estate sector advanced 1.53% due to RAK Properties, Eshraq Properties and Aldar Properties which rose 10%, 1.89% and 0.88%, respectively.
The energy sector led losers after falling 0.34%, weighed by Dana Gas which slipped 2%.
The banks sector levelled down 0.04% after First Gulf Bank slid 1.61%, shrugging off the growth of Abu Dhabi Commercial Bank and National Bank of Abu Dhabi which rose 3.90% and 2.46%, respectively.
