ADX up on Sunday; market cap reaches AED 532.30bn

Abu Dhabi – Mubasher: The main index of Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange (ADX) ended Sunday’s trading session at 5,090.21 points, up 0.06% or three points, maintaining its upward performance on Thursday, 6 February.

A total of 32.26 million shares were exchanged through 729 transactions at a value of AED 56.19 million.

The market cap value increased by AED 15 million to AED 532.30 billion from AED 532.15 billion in the previous session.

The banks and real estate sectors rose by 0.11% and 0.32%, respectively, while the telecom and energy segments fell by 0.12% and 0.08%, respectively.

United Arab Bank (UAB) topped the winners with 10.34%, while Al Qudra Holding led the losers with 5.26%.

Dana Gas, up 0.22%, recorded the highest turnover of AED 9.67 million, while Abu Dhabi National Energy Company (TAQA) posted the highest trading volume of 11.05 million shares.

Abu Dhabi Commercial Bank (ADCB) and Aldar Properties were the rising blue chips with 0.13% and 0.45%, respectively. Meanwhile, Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank (ADIB), Abu Dhabi National Oil Company for Distribution (ADNOC Distribution), and Emirates Telecommunication Group (Etisalat) were the losing blue chips with 0.35%, 0.33%, and 0.12%, respectively.
