ADX up on Tuesday; market cap records AED 456bn

Abu Dhabi – Mubasher: Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange (ADX) ended Tuesday's trading session on a green note as the main index grew by 1.05% or 43.25 points to 4,178.70 points, reversing its negative performance on Monday, 13 April.

The market cap value increased by AED 7.61 billion to AED 456.25 billion from AED 448.64 billion during the previous session.

Turnover totaled AED 133.09 million after 43.21 million shares had been exchanged through 2,315 transactions.

The telecommunications sector led the gainers with 2.4%.

International Holdings Company came on top of the green zone with 13.11%, while Gulf Pharmaceutical Industries (Julphar) headed the red zone with 4.94%.

First Abu Dhabi Bank (FAB) recorded the highest turnover of AED 40.88 million, while Aldar Properties was the most active stock with 12.91 million shares.

Emirates Telecommunications Group (Etisalat) topped the rising blue chips with 2.40%.
