Abu Dhabi – Mubasher: The Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange (ADX) saw a positive performance on Thursday, backed the rise of energy and banks sectors.
The general index increased 0.5% or 22.43 points to reach 4,476.57 points.
The energy sector topped gainers with a 3.86% rise as Dana Gas and TAQA went up 3.92% and 3.64%, respectively.
The banks sector increased 1.9% as Commercial Bank International (CIB) went up 8.97%.
On the other hand, the investment sector fell 4.07% as Waha Capital retreated 4.49%.
Trading volume reached 142.09 million shares on Thursday, compared to 418.92 million shares on Wednesday. Turnover amounted to AED 177.73 million, compared to AED 807.73 million.
Dana Gas was the most active stock with a trading volume of 93.55 million shares, while Abu Dhabi Commercial Bank (ADIB) was the value leader after generating AED 49.67 million.
